For assignment 2, we were asked to create something that represents ourselves. I did not really have to think hard for this one as I immediately knew what I wanted to do! I wanted to create a model of a row of old colonial shoplots. I just absolutely adore the architecture of them and basically, I associate myself as an old soul. I love everything retro and vintage. It just reminds me of a much simpler time and a carefree lifestyle although I never lived in that era, one of my favourite past times in my grandmother's hometown in Miri is to flip through old photo albums.

First, I drew the front view of the shoplots then slowly built up the sides and back of the shops. I purposely used different hues of brown to make it appear sepia, just like old photographs look. I also added a modern iPhone in colour to show how we are always so caught up with technology, we dont stop and appreciate what is around us.
